**About the role and who we are looking for:**
We are looking for a **Permanent Catering Assistant** to join our team at **Nelson Hospital**. This is a fun and rewarding role where you’ll be part of a great team making a positive difference every day.
This role offers 10.5 hours per week — perfect for students or anyone looking to earn a little extra income.**In this position, you will be responsible for:**- assisting with basic food preparation
- cooking and serving of the residents’ meals
- assisting with sandwich preparation
- baking
- ensuring all requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
- general kitchen and cleaning duties
**Ideal skills and experience you will have:**
If you're our ideal candidate, you will have a high attention to detail, be willing to go the extra mile, and take pride and ownership in your work. You will ideally have experience working in a similar environment and enjoy working with the elderly.You will maintain high standards in personal presentation and bring a friendly, helpful, outgoing personality with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
