What You’ll DoAs an Intermediate Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining tools that will enable Arlo to accelerate software delivery, enhance quality, and achieve continuous integration and deployment objectives effectively.
Ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, implementation, and execution of automated test suites. You will work closely with software engineers, product owners, quality engineers and other stakeholders to create a “Quality First Culture” across the organisation.
Identifying test requirements, creating test plans, and developing automated tests that validate both functional and non-functional aspects of Arlo applications.
This role is primarily based in our brand new water

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, test suites and custom scripts/tools to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
- Develop test plans for smoke, usability, and regression testing. Execute tests, document results, and collaborate with software engineers to improve product quality.
- Collaborate with software engineers to advocate for code quality and testability by involving in the early stages of development.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and planning sessions to ensure testability and maintainability of software applications.
- Document build tool configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- At least 3 years of experience in software development and testing.
- Experience with TypeScript, C# and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design principles, and testing best practices.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Web platforms including HTTP, REST, and Debugging basics.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, API development, and CI/CD experience is advantageous.
- Exposure and experience in mobile app testing are beneficial, but not essential.
- A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to and accept other approaches.
- Results-driven mentality, self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a “can do” attitude.
