We are currently seeking a skilled an Aluminium / Stainless Steel Fabricator to join our Red Stag Timber Kilns & Treatment Maintenance team on a permanent basis. Red Stag Timber is a leading timber processing company known for its innovation and commitment to quality.

This role will be working on maintenance and repairs on our Timber Drying Kilns and Treatment Plants. Mainly focusing on but not limited to fabrication and repair of aluminium and stainless-steel components, lagging, roof repairs, and general sheet metal jobbing.

This is a hands-on position.

To be successful you will:
  • Hold a NZ recognised trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication L4 or equivalent
  • Have proven experience in aluminium and stainless-steel fabrication
  • Ability to work effectively collaborating within a dynamic team on both breakdown and scheduled work
  • Proficiency in general fitting, pipe and general carbon steel welding
  • Have demonstrated history of being a team player and a ‘Safety first’ approach to planning and carrying out non-routine tasks
  • Analytical troubleshooting ability

Hours of work are 40 hours Monday – Friday, on a dayshift pattern with occasional overtime available on Weekends as required.

Competitive remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidates with proven skills and knowledge, including weekly tool allowance and an overtime rate of time and a half for all work over 40 hours per week.
