About the roleAs our Team Leader Registrations, you are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end registration process for charitable entities. Your role combines strategic leadership with in-depth regulatory knowledge and practice and the ability to lead and grow your team.As an experienced Leader, you will be comfortable tackling regulatory decisions that are often legally complex and/or high profile which could come with an additional risk to the Department.
You also require effective communication and engagement skills to build and maintain relationships within Te Tari Taiwhenua and across the sector. Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Registrations team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.Oversee the processing of charity registrations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and internal standards.Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development to team members.Monitor workflow and performance metrics to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.Act as a key point of escalation for complex registration matters and provide expert advice.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective regulatory outcomes.What We're Looking For:Proven leadership experience in a regulatory, compliance, or service delivery environment.Strong understanding of legislation and processes related to regulation.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement.A collaborative mindset and commitment to building capability within the team.If you want a job where the work you do matters to New Zealand, we would like to hear from you.Applications close: 5pm, Sunday, 15 February 2026.For more information please contact: Metua SadlerJob description: To review the full job descri'ption, please click here.
