THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our busy Hamilton team. With a passion for building maintenance, you will be a strong all-rounder with a broad range of trade skills.

Your duties will include:
  • Performing a range of building maintenance tasks – repairing buildings, doors, windows, timber framing;
  • Internal and external refurbishment of buildings;
  • Framing work, plasterboard replacement, minor plaster work;
  • Minor Interior & exterior paintwork;
  • Decking and cladding, hard landscaping e.g. fencing;
  • Carry out site inspections to identify and resolve issues as required;
  • Quoting on minor project works advantageous;
  • Coordinating staff & subcontractors where necessary;
  • Attending to after-hours calls and emergencies where required;
  • Reporting on the progress of jobs.
ABOUT YOU:
  • 2-5 years trade/building maintenance experience
  • Experience measuring and quoting on small jobs ideal
  • Computer savvy - Ability to use trade-based phone app
  • Strong Health & Safety focus
  • Customer focused
  • Able to multi-task, prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team
  • Honest and reliable in attendance - requires early morning starts.
  • Site Safe, First Aid, EWP and Working at Heights training will be highly regarded.
  • Valid Full Class 1 Driver licence
