THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY:We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our busy Hamilton team. With a passion for building maintenance, you will be a strong all-rounder with a broad range of trade skills.
Your duties will include:- Performing a range of building maintenance tasks – repairing buildings, doors, windows, timber framing;
- Internal and external refurbishment of buildings;
- Framing work, plasterboard replacement, minor plaster work;
- Minor Interior & exterior paintwork;
- Decking and cladding, hard landscaping e.g. fencing;
- Carry out site inspections to identify and resolve issues as required;
- Quoting on minor project works advantageous;
- Coordinating staff & subcontractors where necessary;
- Attending to after-hours calls and emergencies where required;
- Reporting on the progress of jobs.
- 2-5 years trade/building maintenance experience
- Experience measuring and quoting on small jobs ideal
- Computer savvy - Ability to use trade-based phone app
- Strong Health & Safety focus
- Customer focused
- Able to multi-task, prioritise and work to deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team
- Honest and reliable in attendance - requires early morning starts.
- Site Safe, First Aid, EWP and Working at Heights training will be highly regarded.
- Valid Full Class 1 Driver licence
