This position will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance testing/repair of Low-risk clinical equipment across Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley Hospitals as directed.
The salary for this role is $65,842- $68,838.We are looking for individuals who are electrical/mechanical and technically savvy.
You will be well organised and have excellent communication/people skills to deliver the service.
About the Team/ServiceWe are a friendly, diverse and supportive team who have recently been through a restructure and had a significant investment made into growing the service regionally.Clinical Engineering is a national function within Health Technology Operations reporting through to Health Technology Management (HTM).
Health Technology Management (HTM) is a multidisciplinary field that focuses on the management of medical technology and healthcare systems.It involves the planning, procurement, maintenance, and optimization of medical devices and equipment to ensure their safe and effective use in healthcare settings.About you EWRB registration is preferred.
However, if candidate brings other desirable skills and attributes then EWRB registration can be worked towards.
Achieving a pass in the EWRB practical assessment and written examination must be achieved within the first 12 months of starting employment.
All other training to maintain and support clinical equipment will be provided on the job.Experience in the repair and maintenance of medical devices.Technically savvyStrong organisational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management skillsHigh level customer service/people skillsSelf-motivated, and a self-starterStrong team playerA current registration and practising certificate as an Electrical Appliance Service Person and a clean Driver
