The New Zealand Police ICT Centres of Expertise is seeking a motivated and problem-solving Test Analyst to join the Test Practice as part of Corporate Operations.
In this role you'll be reporting to the Team Leader Test Analysts and working within our product teams to help support NZ Police technology delivery.
Key Accountabilities: Participate within a product operating model and agile framework Create, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria using a risk-based testing approach Create and maintain test regression and test automation artefacts (if required) Identify, report and track defects using tools such as Jira Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts and stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and quality standards He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bring Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others.
Key experience required for the role includes: Prior experience within a testing role Comfortable creating, maintaining and executing test cases.
Understanding of defect management Sound knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and test methodologies.Experience working within an agile framework and/or product based operating model is beneficial.
Strong communication skills A can-do attitude and great attention to detail Whakaritenga motuhake | Special requirements This role is based at RNZPC in Porirua An ISTQB foundation certificate would be advantageous.

Utu ā-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87,306 and $91,353 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
