**He angitutanga / The opportunity:**
We are looking for an experienced **casual Kitchen Assistant** to work at an aged care site in Papatoetoe. The role would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, able to use own initiative and get the job done quickly and efficiently.Hours of work will be on an as and when required basis.
**In this role you would be responsible for:**- Set up and serve breakfast each morning
- Assist the chef with preparation of food and includes baking of morning tea
- Provide excellent customer service skills
- Ensuring kitchen and serving area is kept immaculate
- Adhering to all cleaning rosters and food safety procedures at all times
- General kitchen duties and dishwashing.
- Experience in a similar role including some baking experience
- Demonstrate excellent and professional customer service
- Ideally hold a food safety certificate (NZQA 167)
- Be hardworking with good communication skills
- Good English communication skills is essential
- Physically fit and reliable
- Be able to work independently and as a team player with a proactive 'can do' attitude
- Have a safety focus and an awareness of health and safety practices and protocols
