Service Manager
Youth Mental Health Services | Auckland**
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an operationally strong Service Manager who thrives on structure, delivery, and continuous improvement within complex health or community services environments.
While this role sits within a therapeutic services setting, the primary focus is operational leadership ensuring Therapy Services run effectively, teams are well supported, contracts are met, and systems, processes, and reporting are robust and future-focused.
The Opportunity
As Service Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of a large, multi-disciplinary service. You will work closely with senior leaders, clinical leads, and external stakeholders to ensure services are sustainable, compliant, and delivering strong outcomes.

- Lead the operational delivery of therapy and youth services across multiple sites
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, capacity, and coverage across permanent staff, interns, and contractors
- Oversee contracts, reporting, auditing, and compliance, including funding and ACC-aligned services
- Own budgets, forecasting, and financial tracking in collaboration with finance teams
- Ensure systems, policies, and processes are embedded and consistently followed
- Drive service improvement initiatives, innovation projects, and operational change
- Act as a key connector between service delivery, senior leadership, and external partners
- Support a culture of accountability, quality improvement, and high performance
About You
You are a confident operational leader with experience in:
- Managing complex services within mental health, allied health, or community services
- Operational service delivery, planning, and continuous improvement
- Budget ownership, reporting, and contract management
- Leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams
- Navigating change with clarity, empathy, and structure
You will bring strong organisational agility, the ability to "get things done" and a collaborative leadership style that balances people, performance, and outcomes.
A relevant qualification in management, counselling, or allied health is required, along with senior-level experience in service or operations leadership.
