Production & Maintenance Technician
We have invested heavily in new processing, automated and robotic equipment to increase production volumes and reliability.
We are looking to grow our liquids manufacturing and prill coating team with an energetic, can-do person who can learn the production process and also contribute to maintaining and improving our plant and equipment. This role is predominantly a production operator position, with part-time responsibility for maintenance and fault finding across the factory.
We have the need for consistent and accurate throughput and are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, a positive attitude, and proven problem-solving ability in a manufacturing environment.You will be responsible for understanding production line schedules, operating and monitoring processing equipment, loading materials using a forklift or bag lifting equipment, washing IBC’s, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management.
In addition, you will take ownership and development of planned maintenance schedules and be responsible for taking the lead on reactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement projects across motors, pumps, gearboxes, mixers, pipework, and associated equipment.
Your knowledge of engineering/production concepts will be critical in your success. Computing confidence would be an advantage.

You are:- Mechanically and electrically minded, with hands-on experience or qualifications
- Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment with state-of-the-art processing equipment.
- A proven problem solver who can act quickly and safely when issues arise
- Focused on producing a quality product and improving how things are done
- Happy to fill in for others anywhere in the factory when needed
- Punctual, reliable, and safety focused
- Forklift proficient (or willing to learn)
- Understanding or experience in Agriculture is a bonus
- Residing in NZ and eligible to work
