Leading Orchard Hands (3 Positions) - Opotiki

NS Kiwi Management Limited is looking for three reliable and motivated Leading Orchard Hands to supervise routine maintenance work on kiwifruit orchards in the Katikati region.

Main Tasks Include:

• Supervising routine vine maintenance (pruning and training)
• Monitoring orchard condition and recording data
• Identifying and reporting diseases, pests, and safety hazards
• Overseeing fruit picking, sorting, and grading
• Managing daily worker productivity and work quality
• Collecting and submitting timesheets to NS Kiwi
• Closely supervising new/inexperienced workers
• Communicating with clients and reporting feedback
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
• Working cooperatively with subcontractors and team members
• Reporting to NS Kiwi supervisors and suggesting improvements

Skills & Experience Required:

• A Level 3 or 4 qualification could be advantageous, but experience is not essential
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable, willing to learn, and take initiative
• Able to pass a police check and undergo random drug testing

Additional Information:
