NS Kiwi Management Limited is looking for three reliable and motivated Leading Orchard Hands to supervise routine maintenance work on kiwifruit orchards in the Katikati region.
Main Tasks Include:
- Supervising routine vine maintenance (pruning and training)
- Monitoring orchard condition and recording data
- Identifying and reporting diseases, pests, and safety hazards
- Overseeing fruit picking, sorting, and grading
- Managing daily worker productivity and work quality
- Collecting and submitting timesheets to NS Kiwi
- Closely supervising new/inexperienced workers
- Communicating with clients and reporting feedback
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
- Working cooperatively with subcontractors and team members
- Reporting to NS Kiwi supervisors and suggesting improvements
Skills & Experience Required:
- A Level 3 or 4 qualification could be advantageous, but experience is not essential
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable, willing to learn, and take initiative
- Able to pass a police check and undergo random drug testing
Additional Information:
