This role is based in the Wellington Regional Hospital but you may be required to work across the other hospital sites on occasion.The purpose of this role is to provide a patient focussed registration and booking service to patients, general practitioners and outpatients departments.
You will support the Team Leader to design new processes and work with services on quality improvement initiatives across the District Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley.You will be responsible for providing:A central patient enquiry service where patients can reschedule or cancel their appointments and seek general information about their visitAn outbound call reminding service to patients as part of initiativesFront line customer service within reception areas when requiredQuality, and customer focussed service to patients attending clinics, patient admissions or making any type of enquiry.About the Team/Service/Location The Outpatient Administration Team covers a wide range of key tasks ranging from managing all processes relating to registration, referral lists, creating templates and scheduling of first specialist assessment including initial patient contact.The service is located within the Booking Centre which covers; Radiology Schedulers/Admin, Booking Centre Schedulers, CMU Schedulers and Front of House.
Our main base is Wellington Hospital, but we are required to work across our Hutt Valley and Kenepuru Hospital sites when needed.Our team is one of diversity, fun, multi-cultural and hard working.We pride ourselves on the focus of the Patient Journey where two days are never the same.

About youYou will have effective time management skills and be confident in using Microsoft Office and other computer products.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership and responsibility of the role in a professional manner.
