The Canterbury Club is a private members' club established in 1872. We are located in the inner city. The Club boasts a number of private dining rooms (the largest seating 80) a members' restaurant and bar, billiard room, health club and accommodation.
The Club is seeking a reliable and practical handy person to assist with the care and upkeep of our historic clubrooms.
This role will suit someone who is looking for a casual role as a side-hustle, or perhaps something to keep them busy in semi-retirement. Must be confident working across a wide range of decorating and maintenance tasks and take pride in quality workmanship.
Key tasks include:
General maintenance and repairs
Painting and decorating
Graffiti removal
Moving and assembling furniture
Regular upkeep of equipment
Replacing lightbulbs and other non-PEW tasks
Cleaning and minor furniture repairs
Assisting with the care of a heritage building
We are looking for someone flexible, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Previous experience in some capacity is required.
As part-time, casual employment there is no guarantee of hours, or requirement to accept offered work, but it is anticipated that there would be an average of 5-10 hours of work available per week.
