We are looking for a full time experienced chef to work at our award winning tap room and restaurant in Amberley. We need a minimum commitment to 35 hours a week as we head into summer. We need experience and seeking a senior role in our kitchen to work along side our head chef to develop and craft the best tap room experience in New Zealand.
Brew Moon Brewing Company is an award winning brewery in Amberley North Canterbury only 45min North of Christchurch City and 15mins north of Rangiora. We have a very popular tap room restaurant serving fast casual Woodfired pizzas and smash burgers.We have been awarded as The BEST Regional restaurant in last years Canterbury Hospitality awards.

What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with a great attitude, cleanliness, punctuality and a love for all things hospitality! This is a great opportunity to grow your hospitality career quickly with a great team of passionate hospitality professionals in a fun, supportive business that is expanding rapidly.We currently are not accredited so cannot hire workers without a full NZ work Visa.
For this position experience is essential. Training on our awesome wood-fired pizza oven will be provided, so don’t worry if your food experience isn’t with a wood pizza oven.
We need you to be an all-rounder and be proactive. You must have the right to work in New Zealand. Your own transport isn't required, as long as you can get to work reliably and on time!
A bit more about the role…
As our full time chef you will be based in our busy tap room at Brew Moon Brewery 35+ hours per week over a 4 day work week! Current days of work on offer Wednesday, Thursday + Saturday, Sunday with the ability to pick up a prep shift on Tuesdays.We are currently closed Monday and Tuesdays and Fridays OFF!
Working with our awesome brand new kitchen with custom woodfired pizza oven, you will be required to prepare food quickly and efficiently. You’ll be required to maintain and operate large commercial cooking equipment such as wood fired pizza oven, burger griddle and a deep fryer.
You will get plenty of time prepping food and cooking pizza in our epic wood-fired pizza and the entire team helps out with cleaning and running the kitchen. We are looking for someone who has great initiative!
You’ll be working in a diverse team environment and have great communication skills. You will have a positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure when those dockets come through..
