Tile Installation Specialists Limited is a reputable tiling company based in Dunedin, servicing the lower half of the South Island. • Must be a team player and capable of working independently.
• Ability to work unsupervised and have a keen eye for detail.
• Driver's license and NZ residency or a valid work visa required.

• Examining plans, measuring, and marking surfaces, and laying out work.
• Preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces.
• Grinding substrates.
• Plastering, screeding, and levelling substrates.
• Spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position.
• Using tile cutting tools to cut and shape tiles for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes.
• Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced.
• Grouting tiles, cleaning, and removing excess grout.
• Applying waterproofing systems.
• Possibly laying floors and walls with granolithic, terrazzo, cement, natural stone, or similar compositions.
• Creating mosaic patterns with coloured tiles.
• Performing other designated tasks as required by management.

• The office is based in Dunedin, but the applicant should be able to travel in and around Otago as determined by management.
• Hourly rate ranges from $30 to $50 per hour, depending on the individual's skill level.
• Minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed.
• This position is full-time and permanent.
• BCITO apprenticeship is available upon request.
