Core 2 Rotational Occupational Therapist

  • Community (Permanent Full Time)1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)Allied Health – Health New Zealand Waitemata Exciting Rotational Opportunity awaits.We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational therapist to join our Core 2 rotation programme at Health New Zealand – Waitematā.
The rotation’s run from February to February and for this term will start within our Community Occupational Therapy Service (based at Waitakere Hospital) with the opportunity to rotate to other areas of interest within the program.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe offer a two tier rotational program within Health New Zealand
  • Waitematā with the Core 1 and Core 2 positions based at North Shore Hospital, Waitakere Hospital, and Community.Core 1 rotational positions are 6 months long and offer experience in:
  • Acute medical (2 rotations)· Elective orthopaedics· Acute surgical· Inpatient Mental Health (under 65’s)· Older Adult Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation (AT&R)Core 2 rotational positions are 12 months long and offer experience in:
  • Trauma Orthopaedics· Integrated stroke unit· Complex rehabilitation
  • Community· Medical/Renal· Wilson Centre (Paediatrics)About the Team/Service/ LocationThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their clinical skill set by rotating through, different specialty services.

  • You will be someone who likes a challenge and is motivated to upskill in a range of different practice areas
