Auckland - Dementia Caregiver (One-Off Event - Wedding Day)

We are seeking a compassionate, patient and reliable caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a 92-year-old lady with dementia during her granddaughter’s wedding in Riverhead, Auckland. The role involves ensuring her comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the event, as well as assisting with transport back to her accommodation and staying with her until family members return.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and attentive care throughout the wedding.
- Assist with mobility, personal needs, and comfort as required.
- Transport her back safely to her accommodation at the end of the event and stay with her until family return.
- Communicate with family members as needed to ensure smooth coordination.
- Maintain a calm, patient, and caring presence in a busy event environment.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in aged care or dementia care preferred.
- Full, clean driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Warm, respectful, trustworthy and professional manner.
- Ability to remain attentive and compassionate for the duration of the event.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
Additional Information:
Location: Riverhead, Auckland (wedding venue)Date: Saturday the 22nd of November 2025
Duration: One-off position for the wedding day only. Would possibly suit a caregiver wanting extra weekend work.
Pay to be discussed with chosen applicant.
Petrol expenses will be covered.
Accommodation and schedule details will be provided upon confirmation.
