About the Role As part of the Transit Hub nursing team you will support hospital flow by caring for patients transitioning both between hospital areas and, most frequently, between the hospital and home on day of discharge.
About the Team/Service Location The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), provides a comprehensive support service which comprises the Duty Nurse Managers, Variance Response & Patient Transfer, Transit Hub, Patient Travel and Allocation & Casual nursing.
In normal working hours the service will support the directorate to meet their targets and plans and after hours will hold the delegated authority of the directorates to ensure the best possible use of resources both beds and staff, therefore effective running of the hospital.About youYou are an excellent communicator and establish rapport effectively with a diverse range of people Strong acute nursing background and subsequent skill set.
Familiar with safe discharging processesYou have a passion for supporting efficient hospital flow and positive experiences for patients and their whanau Proactive with a positive, can-do attitudePrevious experience in the Transit Hub setting would be advantageousMinimum of 1-2 years post graduate experienceWorking at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
