Are you a seasoned Network Design Estimator ready to lead and inspire? We’re seeking a highly motivated Design Team Leader to mentor and lead a team of five professional design estimators in Hamilton. You’ll deliver innovative and accurate design estimation solutions that ensure the integrity and security of network services for both network owner and their customers.
About the Role
As the Design Team Leader, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of professional design estimators.
- Manage and guide the key functions of electricity network planning and pricing for HV/LV infrastructure and substations.
- Deliver customer and network-initiated design and tendering services, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate directly with the Network Owner’s representative director.
- Obtain resource consents and liaise with local authorities.
- Coordinate with external service providers for seamless project delivery.
- Identify potential issues and propose solutions proactively.
- Ensure full compliance with customer and regulatory expectations.
- Proven experience as a Network Design estimator in the power distribution or Utilities sector.
- Familiarity with HV/LV design, customer installations, and new subdivisions.
- Strong leadership skills with experience guiding and managing a design team.
- Knowledge in contract management and business process improvement.
- Results-driven mindset and ability to respond to challenges effectively and promptly.
