We’re currently looking to fill 1 permanent full-time Property Maintenance Technician roles. This position offers a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week, typically worked Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and travel required depending on the job.

About the Role

Chemwash is New Zealand’s leading building and house wash exterior cleaning company. We wash everything from buildings and roofing to decks and driveways. To provide our cleaning and maintenance services in a safe and professional manner, you’ll use our special low-pressure washing system to ensure homes and businesses around our community look in top shape.

Main tasks include
  • Carrying out cleaning and maintenance of property surfaces and structures, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Cleaning a small test section of surfaces to determine the strength of cleaning agents required to achieve the desired surface finish.
  • Positioning ladders, assembling scaffolding, or operating mechanical cherry pickers in a safe and professional manner.
  • Using wands and adjusting spray nozzles to regulate the flow of cleaning solution over surfaces.
  • Cleaning all exterior surfaces, including houses/buildings, garages, sleepouts, fences, paths, pavers, brickwork, retaining walls, and pergolas.
  • Replacing worn parts of cleaning equipment as needed, and carrying out routine maintenance.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in property maintenance, exterior cleaning, or a similar hands-on field.
  • Full, clean driver’s license (must be able to drive manual vehicles).
  • Valid New Zealand work visa, residency, or citizenship.
  • Comfort with working at heights.
  • You must have a current Heights certificate (NZ15757 & 23229)
  • Current EWP (NZ 23966, 23962, 23963) is preferred.
  • Own transport to and from the work base is preferred.
  • Knowledge of engines and pumps is a bonus.

Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour, depending on skills and qualifications.
