We are looking for an energetic and motivated team leader for our intensive support services in Palmerston North, working with youth and young adults.

You will lead a team supporting our people to live as independently as possible while providing a safe environment where they can build confidence, friendships, and community connections.

This role includes a mix of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts across weekdays and weekends, so flexibility to support your team in different shifts is essential.

A team leader assists people with disabilities to live as independently as possible while leading and motivating their team.

Your day could include:

  • Supporting people with meaningful activities at home and in the community, promoting independence and whanau involvement
  • Helping with household duties such as meal preparation, daily routines, and personal cares
  • Working closely with your team to deliver individual support plans effectively, using positive communication and teamwork
  • Creating a warm, inclusive, and nurturing home environment that encourages feedback and supports each person to achieve their personal goals

  • Relevant caregiving experience, including personal cares
  • Leadership experience, or a genuine desire to develop your leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt your leadership style to support individual learning needs
  • A warm, calm, and friendly personality with a passion for helping people achieve positive outcomes
  • A full NZ driver's licence and confidence driving disability vans safely
