About the role:

To effectively supervise and lead day-to-day operations, reporting to our Southern Regional Manager, ensuring that key performance indicators are met, and that plant, equipment, and fleet are maintained to the highest standards. Providing guidance and direction to all direct reports is paramount to exceeding customer expectations.

Demonstrating strong organisational skills while managing various suppliers, contractors, and customers daily is crucial. Leading by example with a hands-on approach and fostering a self-managing and disciplined work environment is key.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a requirement for flexibility as hours may vary. Being open to occasional out-of-town travel, including overnight stays, is necessary.

What's Required:

  • Proficiency in computer skills at an advanced level
  • Demonstrated record of effective leadership and personnel management
  • Previous experience in liaising with customers, contractors, and external providers
  • Full NZ Class 1 driver's license
  • Adaptability regarding work schedules and hours
  • Exceptional resilience, strong professional work ethic, and a positive demeanour
