Kitchen Hand PERMANENT
The Strawberry Tree Kaikoura Limited is an award winning restaurant & live music venue producing next level pub meals. We specialize in fresh, locally caught fish and seafood.
We are looking for a Kitchen Hand to work with our team in a fast paced kitchen. We require a Kitchen Hand with a great work ethic and attitude.
POSITIONS: Kitchen Hand PERMANENT - FULL TIME
JOB DESCRIPTION- Keep kitchen and food - preparation areas clean and hygienic
- Wash & Sanitise cookware, utensils and other kitchen equipment
- Transfer, weigh & check incoming supplies, store them correctly
- Assemble & portion ingredients for the cooks and chefs
- Assist cooks & chefs with meal and plate preparation
- Cook, toast or heat simple menu items as directed
- During periods of reduced demand, especially over winter, you may be assigned supplementary front of house duties, including order taking, point of sale transactions & table service of food & beverages
MINIMUM GUARANTEED HOURS: 30 per week
LOCATION: 21 West End, Kaikoura
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Either NZQA Level 1 Qualification or evidence of completed compulsory secondary education.
Kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory - for the right candidate we will train you on our procedures.
START DATE: To be negotiated
