Agricultural Service Technician
The Southland Farm Machinery team are looking for a workshop based agricultural service technician to join their locally owned and operated John Deere dealership in Invercargill.
The role offers a variety of mechanical work on some of the world’s greatest brands, including John Deere, Krone and Giltrap, and the opportunity to work with the latest John Deere diagnostic tools on small to large horsepower tractors, and farm equipment.
What we’re looking for:- Mechanical experience in agriculture or a similar industry, or working towards a qualification
- Diagnosing/fault-finding skills
- Tidy and organised work habits
- A self-starter, able to work autonomously
- PC literate and comfortable using software systems
- The right attitude, including taking ownership of your work and being willing to learn, awareness of safety, and being a great team member
- Maintaining good relationships with customers and workmates alike
- Great products to work with such as John Deere, Krone and Giltrap, plus the latest in agricultural technology
- Competitive hourly rate with time and a half paid for any overtime after 8 hours (the potential to earn is up to you!)
- On-the-job and external training with ongoing career development
