Intensive Support Worker - Night shift

We are looking for permanent full-time night shift Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our intensive support services in New Plymouth.

What does a Support Worker do? - He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko?

Our Support Workers assist rangatahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community.

You will:

  • Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach
  • Support tamariki or rangatahi to go to school or access education
  • Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person
  • Support rangatahi and young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes

Who are we looking for? - Ko wai ta tatou e rapu ana?
  • A desire to support our rangatahi and young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
  • Previous experience working with young people or rangatahi
  • An understanding of intellectual disability and autism
  • Creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and a team player
  • A full NZ driver's licence
