In this role you will provide a comprehensive and coordinated home-based rehabilitation service for people in the Waitematā community.
The service delivers individually prescribed rehabilitation to patients, based on their specific needs and goals via either intensive early supported discharge or less intensive community-based rehabilitation to adults in Waitematā.About the Team/Service/ LocationThis part time or full time (0.6
  • 1.0 FTE) role(s) are based at the North Shore Community Allied Health offices in Takapuna or Waitakere Hospital.

You will need to be available on Tuesdays for our weekly IDT meeting at 0800 otherwise for part-timers, hours can be negotiated.

You will be working as part of an established interdisciplinary team providing best practice home based rehabilitation through a patient centred approach to adults of all ages.

EDARS provides rehabilitation for adults with acute neurological conditions/surgeries, post-stroke, people with recent amputations, and reconditioning following medical-illness.Within this role you will receive Professional and Clinical Leadership development This will include:Support of your personal objectivesEducation to be able to provide staff with professional developmentLearning opportunities to foster service development and leading quality careTraining to provide professional supervision to staffNetworking with clinical leaders, seniors, and staff grades across the organisationRegular individual professional supervision for support and mentoringOpportunities to be involved in teaching and training for non-Allied Health staffOpportunities to implement and develop new patient care models and service development.Work perksFor more information on living and working on Auckland’s North Shore click hereAbout youAs a Physiotherapist you should have:New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with current APC3+ years relevant rehabilitation experienceTeaching and communication skills to work alongside staff to support and develop their clinical reasoning and autonomy.Exposure to service development and quality improvement projectsStrong problem solving skills, with the ability to show initiative and work autonomouslyEffective interpersonal skillsExcellent assessment and time management skillsIdeally experience working with patients with neurological and/or rehabilitation needsDriver’s license is essentialPlease click here for position descriptionWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
