About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Hand to work at our site in South Canterbury, Timaru Hospital. Hours of work are as and when required, dependent on business needs.

You will be responsible for:

In this position you will be responsible for:
  • Basic food preparation.
  • Maintaining clean & tidy dining/kitchen areas
  • Washing dishes, tray line service, delivering meals to patients
  • Providing superb customer service as well as assisting in general kitchen and cleaning duties.

If you're our ideal candidate you will be a team player, have good time management and customer care skills, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will adhere to the company's procedures and policies contributing to working in a safe workplace.

Ideal skills and experience you will have:
  • Some experience in food preparation and kitchen work
  • A food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) or be happy to train for one
  • Superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
