Te Haeata/The OpportunityAs the Legal Secretary Team Leader, you are responsible for leading and managing a team of Legal Secretaries in a centralised hub, to deliver quality legal secretarial services to the Public Defence Service's (PDS) legal staff, and ensuring the legal staff are supported in a professional, effective and efficient manner.
There will be two positions, one located in Manukau (Northern) and the other in Wellington (Southern).This role is located in Wellington.In addition, together with the other Legal Secretary Team Leader (in Manukau), you will build the capability of the legal support team, implement consistent standards, and identify and leverage opportunities for system, process and business improvement, working collaboratively with Office Public Defenders and Support Services Managers.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have:proven experience in providing coachinghighly developed skills in technological competency using technology to improve efficiencyproven experience in gathering, analysing and reporting on performance including solutions for improvementexperience leading and managing a team of support staff in the provision of proactive operational and business support whilst building collaborative relationships.
