Experienced Mechanic

We are a small family-owned mechanic workshop in Carterton, Wairarapa.

The work has become more than enough for one mechanic. We are seeking an experienced and passionate mechanic who has a wide range of skills to support with getting jobs out quicker and freeing up some time for the existing mechanic to concentrate more on technical jobs.

This role is a permanent full time, Monday - Friday, 8-5pm, 40h/week.

• Fully qualified with at least 3-5 years workshop experience with references
• Full drivers license and can drive manual
• Strong work ethic, attention to details, reliable and punctual.
• Own tool box with basic mechanic tools (we will supply special communal tools and equipment)

• Perform accurate vehicle diagnostics.
• Carrying out servicing and general mechanical repairs on variety of vehicles
• Able to work independently on jobs big and small
• Excellent customer service skills over the phone and face to face
• Organised and able to keep work space tidy
• Able to meet deadlines and communicate when issues arise.
• Ask for help when stuck or need a second opinion.
