Experienced chef or cooks wanted, Takaka, Golden Bay.
A Chef is needed in our Takaka kitchen! 30-40hrs per week.
Roots Bar is an iconic hotspot in Golden Bay and famous for its burgers and gastro pub fair with a focus on local produce and ingredients.
Position requires experience. You must have some understanding of menu costings and monitoring of inflation in today’s climate.
You must be up to date on current food trends and able to be creative and bring the flavour with specials that match our vibe and style.Someone who understands ordering, liaising with management and reps, mentoring younger team members and is organised and clean.
Experience cooking in cities or areas outside of Takaka in the last 2 years a must.
Super fun and supportive team atmosphere to work in and we are busy through summer which requires focus and speed in service.
We are looking for someone long term who wants to live in Golden Bay, to work with us through this year and next summer (and onwards we hope!)
