Part-Time Afternoon Nanny - Bay of Plenty - Greerton
As such, the nanny will play a key role in ensuring the children's wellbeing and continuity of routine in the parents' absence.
Responsibilities include school runs, supervision of the home-schooled child’s studies, preparing nutritious dinners and school lunches, grocery collection, running errands, managing laundry, and making sure children have all they need for after school activities.Use of the family vehicle is provided during working hours.
There may also be occasions when overnight or evening care is required, with an overnight rate provided. This would be arranged only if convenient and mutually agreed upon by all parties.
Our family has a strong, positive history with previous nannies and we remain in close contact. They would be happy to provide references and share their experience working with us, offering insight into the supportive, respectful environment we offer.
Schedule- Tuesday: 12:30pm – 6:30pm
- Wednesday: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
- Thursday: 12:30pm – 6:30pm
- Supervise and care for three children, supporting school assignments and home learning.
- Collect school-aged children and transport to/from activities using the family vehicle.
- Prepare and cook healthy dinners; organise and pack nutritious lunches for the next day.
- Sort, fold, and put away laundry; keep children’s essentials organised for activities.
- Run errands and collect groceries as needed.
- Provide feedback to parents on children’s well-being and daily activities.
- Offer a dependable and reassuring presence when parents are travelling for work.
- Provide occasional overnight or evening care as required, subject to agreement and an overnight rate.
- Full clean driving licence (required)
- First aid certification
- Previous childcare experience (nanny, babysitter, teacher’s assistant, etc.)
- Experience supporting schoolwork and home learning
- Competence in preparing family meals and managing laundry
- Teaching experience a bonus
- Clear background check and references

Remuneration
Remuneration starts at $30 per hour, based on experience. An overnight rate will be paid for any mutually agreed overnight care.
Additional Information- Previous nannies remain in close contact and are happy to provide references regarding their time with our family.
- A cleaner visits for 7 hours weekly, so deep cleaning is not required of the nanny.
