Production Worker - Night Shift

RJ’s Confectionery is an established market leading confectionery manufacturer who has been making licorice products in Levin for more than 20 years. We are leaders in our field with a strong reputation for creating innovative quality the demand for our products continues to grow at a significant rate.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the RJ’s team who is eager to progress and learn how to cook our amazing products.

Night shift hours are 9:30pm - 6.00am, Monday to Friday with a 10% shift allowance over and above hourly rate.

This role is Sweet As, so a positive can-do attitude and desire to learn are key, as well as teamwork and a respectful communication style. A high level of attendance at work will be expected.

If you also:

• Can maintain excellent standards of food quality and safety
• Demonstrate a strong health and safety mindset
• Have a good level of literacy and numeracy skills, plus attention to detail
• Can work under pressure and apply solutions to typical problems that occur
• Maintain high levels of attendance
• Are physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg

Starting hourly rate is $24.57, however, you are guaranteed to go up to $25.61 after six months. Your earning potential is then clearly road-mapped, the more skills you grow and develop the more you could earn. We believe in paying our team members for the skills they have, so continued growth and development is encouraged.

We match Kiwisaver contributions up to 4% and also provide a monthly credit to use in our onsite retail shop.

Experience in food manufacturing, a FMCG environment, and/or machine operating experience would be Fabulicious, but is not necessary.
