About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a skilled butcher ready to take the next step. You'll oversee the full operation of our butchery and seafood department, leading a talented team, managing production, and delivering high-quality cuts and value-added products that keep customers coming back.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of presentation and customer service
- Lead and develop a team of butchers, and butchery and seafood assistants
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and production planning
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
- Create and merchandise value-added products
- Monitor department performance and control costs
- Proven experience in butchery and team leadership
- Strong understanding of food safety and compliance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Financial acumen and experience with margin management

Hours
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday (40-45 hours). This may include some weekend work.
