Senior Accountant (Fixed-term to 06 Oct 2026)

We are looking for a detail-driven Senior Accountant to support our Finance Manager and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial and management reporting.
If you enjoy ownership, variety, and being the steady hand in a busy finance environment, this role will suit you well. This is a fixed-term position until 06 October 2026.
About the role:
You'll assist the Finance Manager and wider finance team to carry out and complete financial and management reporting requirements, including preparation of monthly financials, stock, NZTA reconciliations, budgeting support, and management reporting.
You'll also contribute to business case modelling, maintain strong audit-ready documentation, and ensure data accuracy across systems such as SAP and Adaptive Insights. Your work will directly support operational teams and leadership decision-making.
What you'll bring:
- 1-3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
- Full CA ANZ membership
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience preparing annual financial statements
- Confident communicator who works well under pressure
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and SAP
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach
Who you'll work with:
You'll collaborate with the Finance Manager, wider finance team, our Wellington support office staff, branch teams, and external partners including NZTA, suppliers, banks, and customers.
