Senior Shepherd

Stag Valley is a family owned farm located at Castlerock in Northern Southland. It is a balance of hill and intensive finishing country. It is the home of the Headwaters elite flock. www.headwaters.nz

The role is predominately stock focused, however it also includes tractor work and general R & M when required.

• Has had shepherding experience
• Has excellent stock handling ability
• Has good communication skills
• Has a reliable team of dogs
• Can work independently and accept responsibility
• Able to work in a team environment reporting to our Stock Manager and work alongside our Junior Shepherd & Growing Future Farmer cadet
• NZ Citizen only
