About the role

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Manager within our Overhead Projects team.

As a Project Manager, you will manage a wide range of projects critical to the electricity distribution network and WEL customers. To excel in this role, you will also be a self-motivated professional with excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills, and a proven team player.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage the successful delivery of assigned projects - both small to large network maintenance, development and customer-driven projects
  • Timely and accurate progress and financial reporting
  • Ensure projects achieve regulatory requirements and meet WEL standards
  • Engagement and management of subcontractors
  • Liaison with local authorities and other key stakeholders for the initiation and delivery of projects
  • Apply your knowledge, experience, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Build and maintain effective networks and working relationships with key stakeholders

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has the following:

  • At least five years' experience in the delivery of capital and customer driven construction projects in the electricity industry
  • Appropriate tertiary level technical qualification, ideally in project management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, the electricity industry
  • Commitment to health and safety that is second to none
  • A focus on delivering exceptional customer service
