Snap Rentals are looking for an Automotive Mechanical Superstar!

We are a Kiwi operated Rental car business, servicing Auckland x 2 depots, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Queenstown. We are looking for 2 mechanics to join our Auckland based team who look after our Auckland depots as well as conducting mechanical tasks related to onboarding new vehicles.

Job description:

• Service vehicles operated by retail customers, Snap Rentals and USAVE according to their respective service intervals
• Change tyres and make recommendations on best tyres
• Balance and wheel align tyres
• Repair mechanical issues on vehicles
• Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine checks
• Repair and replace worn and defective parts and referring to service manuals as needed
• Record service and repair work in company systems
• Order parts and supplies required for the workshop in line with Manager requests and approval
• Maintain a clean, functional workspace
• Maintain safe working practises
• Abide by Health and Safety and security policies and processes

Job pre-requisites:

• At least two years of relevant experience
• Full and New Zealand Driver's license
• Attention to details
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn
• Flexibility and ability to work extra hours when required
• Clean police records and ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
• Two contactable references with your application
• Open work permit in New Zealand

• Hourly rate band from 30-35 per hour depending on experience
• Minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week, Monday - Friday between 8am and 5pm normal hours, additional hours as required by agreement.
