Automotive Mechanic/Technician Wanted for New Lynn Auckland workshop

Fulltime 30 to 40hours of work per week

• Experience in a wide range of vehicles and repairs
• Has a high standard and pride in your workmanship
• Can work efficiently and has good time management
• Enjoys a diverse range of clients
• Competent mechanic or qualified technician with 3+ years experience
• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
• Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance calling for repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publication

Key Job Description- Motor Mechanic

• finding and identifying mechanical faults, for example in the brakes, gears, fuel pumps
• repairing mechanical parts and engine
• checking for problems in newer vehicle's electronic control unit (ECU)
• advising owners on the repairs needed and how critical they are
• providing time and cost estimates for jobs
• carrying out repairs, which could include replacing damaged parts
• carrying out routine serving and checks

Attractive salary $25 to $35per hourly based on experience
