Pump & Filtration Service Technician

Waikato Pump Services Ltd is a locally owned and family operated business, established in 1986. We provide equipment, servicing, and solutions across rural, domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors. We take care of all aspects of water, sewage, and effluent pumping, as well as all things filtration - from under-sink filters through to pools and spas, right up to commercial, whole-farm applications.

About the role:

We’re looking for a motivated Service Technician to help keep farms, businesses, and homes running at their best. You’ll be out in the field, in the workshop, and everywhere in between - solving problems, meeting great people, and building skills you’ll use for life.

• Tackle a variety of jobs – from installing farm pumps and filtration systems to handling domestic breakdown repairs and maintaining systems for key clients.
• Be the problem-solver – diagnose issues, carry out maintenance, and jump in for urgent repairs, whether on-site or in our workshop.
• Stay organised – keep job cards accurate and up to date with our easy-to-use digital tools.
• Work with a great crew – join a supportive team delivering top-quality service right across the Waikato.
• Make a difference for clients – offer hands-on guidance, share your know-how, and be part of our on-call rotation to keep systems running smoothly.

What we're looking for:

• Hands-on trade background - whether that’s fitting, pumps, diesel mechanics, electrical work, or a similar field
• Strong fault findings and problem-solving skills
• Great communication skills
• Fit enough to handle some labour-intensive work
• Willingness to learn and take on a wide range of tasks
• A full NZ driver's license
• Pump and filtration experience is a bonus but we are happy to train the right person
