Restaurant Manager Charlotte's Kitchen

You’ll lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, bar and functions, making sure everything runs smoothly, profitably and in line with legal requirements (including liquor licensing). You’ll be hands-on, customer-focused, and a strong leader for your team.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Commercial & Financial Performance
  • Prepare and manage budgets (sales, wages, COGS, overheads and profit targets)
  • Monitor weekly performance and present results and forecasts to management
  • Control costs through effective systems (cash ups, rosters, stock control and pricing)
  • Ensure invoices, rosters and timesheets are accurately managed in Protouch, Xero and GoRoster
  • Maintain an efficient reservation system
  • Manage functions end-to-end: enquiries, run sheets and team communication ??
  • Coordinate live music and musicians
  • Stay across industry trends and suggest improvements
The Product & Guest Experience
  • Work with the Bar Manager on beverage offerings that suit customer demand, supplier agreements, budget and brand
  • Work with the Head Chef on menus that reflect trends, hit price points and protect the Charlotte’s Kitchen brand
  • Ensure the team is well presented, professional and delivers warm, consistent service
  • Maintain impeccable table presentation and overall restaurant appearance
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally
Day-to-Day Operations
  • Act as Duty Manager as required
  • Ensure all food, liquor and statutory requirements are met
  • Oversee health & safety, hygiene and licensing compliance
  • Maintain cleanliness, stock levels and correct storage across all areas
  • Manage stock PAR levels in line with seasonal demand
  • Ensure security procedures are followed at all times
  • Respond appropriately to incidents (theft, burglary, fire, etc.)
Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train and retain a strong team, planning ahead for peak and quiet periods
  • Ensure the right people are in the right roles
  • Deliver ongoing training, coaching and performance reviews
  • Hold regular staff meetings and feed key points back
  • Manage performance and disciplinary matters fairly and professionally
  • Plan staffing levels at least three months ahead, especially heading into winter

This is a permanent role, minimum hours 30, pay rate is $35 - $45.00.
