About the RoleThe Orthopaedic Registrar position is a 12-month appointment, based at Whakatane Hospital, and offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established orthopaedic department. The department provides a broad range of both general and specialist orthopaedic care, and the successful candidate will be involved in various trauma and elective orthopaedic cases.

This position is ideal for a motivated Registrar or Senior House Officer seeking to further their career in orthopaedic surgery.

About the Team/ServiceOur team of orthopaedic specialists and registrars is dedicated to providing high-quality care in a supportive learning environment. The team works closely with Tauranga Hospital to ensure the best outcomes for patients in the Bay of Plenty region.

About you

As an Orthopaedic Registrar, you will bring at least 2 years of postgraduate experience in clinical practice, a strong passion for orthopaedics, and a desire to pursue formal training in the specialty. You will be able to work well within a team, demonstrate strong communication skills, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

A commitment to upholding Te Whatu Oras values and delivering exceptional patient care is essential.
