Harvest Team Member – Organic Vegetable Farm (Full-Time, Immediate Start)

Location: Leeston

Pay: $26.00–$27.80 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

Applicants must be available to attend an on-farm interview and be living in the region.

We’re a 30-hectare certified organic vegetable farm growing a wide range of seasonal produce for local and national markets.

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable, and physically strong person to join our harvest team — someone who takes pride in working outdoors, staying active, and contributing to meaningful, sustainable food production.

If you enjoy seeing the results of your hard work and being part of a down-to-earth team, this could be the role for you.

Depending on your skill set, this position could in future include tractor driving and machinery operation.

What you’ll be doing

Harvesting, washing, and packing fresh organic produce

Assisting with transplanting, seed sowing, and weeding

Supporting general farm and greenhouse operations

What we’re looking for

Physically fit and strong, able to comfortably lift and carry up to 22kg

Motivated, positive, and reliable – you take initiative and enjoy getting things done

Experience in physically demanding or outdoor work (farm, construction, warehouse, etc.)

Attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills quickly

Flexibility to work longer hours during peak periods

Own transport required

This is a physical, all-weather role — ideal for someone who thrives on active work, consistency, and being part of a productive, purpose-driven environment.
