Pressure Solutions is a company located at 56 Diana Drive, Wairau valley. We repair, maintain, service and sell high pressure water equipment across all industries. We offer spare parts and new equipment that covers a variety of applications.

The Technician or Trainee technician role at Pressure Solutions Ltd involves a range of tasks related to the workshop, it will include but not limited to the following: customer service, diagnosing, repairing, servicing, quoting, working as part of a team along assisting other teams in the business where may be required.

What You Will Do:

1. Teamwork: A team of 2 other technicians and a workshop manager is what the business currently has in the workshop. You will be working with this team on a regular daily basis ensuring workload for that day or week is being met.
2. Quoting and administration: You will need to quote/bill your own jobs with the guidance of the workshop manager or other staff, ensuring this is done correctly.
3. Working on the tools: You would be expected to be working the workshop for majority of the role, other than if you were needed to assist with other areas being the warehouse or customer service teams.
4. Quality control: With all new equipment being built or assembled in the workshop a big part of this role is to ensure that quality is kept to the highest standard with the variety of products and solutions we provide.
5. Customer Service: Supporting customers with technical advice and solutions. Whether that be in person or on the phone.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet deadlines. Ensuring billing of jobs is done accurately.
• Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
• Customer service Skills: There will be times you are asked to assist the customer service team with dealing with customers in the showroom or assisting with answering phone calls.
• Computer Skills: You will be using our software system to quote, manage jobs and find products for carrying out the builds or repairs.
• Small Engine/Mechanical skills: A large part of the work we do is related to either petrol or diesel engines where this is what is driving the water blaster. It will be important that this person for this role has experience in this area or has at least a basic level of general practical experience.
• Problem-solving Skills: A practical hands on approach will be required from the person filling this role
• Reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Not required but would be important skills to have:

• Forklift licence: this is not required but would be good if you were to already have a licence allowing you to use the forklift as this is a daily occurrence.
• Hydraulics: if you had an understand or have experience with hydraulic systems.
• Electrical skills: If you have experience in dealing with electrics, whether it be 12V / 24V but also 240V / 400V
