We also providematernity services for approximately 6,000 births per annum and a full range ofgynaecology services, including specialist Fetal Medicine.
There are closelinks between our Gynaecological Oncology clinicians and the University ofOtago department of O&G which is co- located on site.We provide gynaecologicaloncology care to Lower North Island and South Island, the region has acatchment population of approximately 2.4 million people.
Across our combinedgynaecological oncology multidisciplinary meetings (MDMs) we review over 400new gynaecological cancer cases each year.The postis an Unaccredited Gynaecological Oncology Fellow, with the goal of developingsenior Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees who have an interest inGynaecological Oncology training.
This role will include some generalObstetrics and Gynaecology after hours work but no night shifts.About youYou willhave completed basic training and be a senior Obstetrics and Gynaecologytrainee.Alternatively, you may hold a fellowship qualification in Obstetricsand Gynaecology.Knowledge and commitment of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how the principles can be applied to health.A willingness to grow and further develop an equity lens and skillset, both to assist Māori and minority groups.
