About the Role

We are inviting applications from enthusiastic subspecialists in Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology, or Rheumatology to join our team. The post includes a proportion of general/internal medicine acute ward work alongside a strong focus on your subspecialty practice, supporting comprehensive patient care within a collaborative department.

The role covers a mix of ward inpatient, outpatient, and procedural work (specialty dependent) with a roster that allows variation across areas.

For candidates with an interest, there is also the option to contribute to the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU). The AAU is a new facility located in the soon to be opened east wing building. Youll be working alongside a team of committed professionals delivering comprehensive medical services to our diverse community.

The AAU focuses on the assessment and treatment of medical patients with an expected hospital stay of less than 36 hours.

Vocationally registered (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand

Fellowship with RACP or equivalent

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
