We operate 7 days a week with rostered hours between 5am-4pm.
Our kitchen team is a diverse crew who are dedicated and disciplined in their roles. Our ability to work as a team is central to our success and reputation and we are looking for someone who can appreciate the importance of working together, meeting deadlines and can focus on getting the job done whilst enjoying the creative hospitality scene and lifestyle that Wanaka offers.
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Pastry Chef or baker.
The role is suitable for a candidate with a NZ Certificate Level 3-4 OR Ideally, you will have 2-3 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen and will be proficient in dough lamination, croissant, bread, sourdough, and decorating.
You’ll need to be:
- Reliable
- Punctual
- Accurate
- Creative
- Innovative
- Good time management
- Use established systems and routines
- Able to ensure quality control is consistent.
Ideally applicants will be residents in NZ and or seeking long term employment. If you are on a working visa, please clearly explain when they expire and your conditions.
This is a full time, ongoing role for someone looking to settle in Southland. This position offers a rate of pay between $25 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.
