The Technical Services group is responsible for improving the accuracy of cover, rehabilitation and entitlement decisions within the network. It operates in a fast paced and dynamic environment where creative and strategic solutions lead to positive outcomes for injured New Zealanders.
In this role you will provide accounting advice and support to ACC's branches on accounting and tax issues relating to weekly compensation for self-employed and shareholder-employee claims. Working with internal and external customers, you'll be responsible for improving the accuracy of cover and entitlement decisions.
About you | Mōu To be a successful Technical Accounting Specialist at ACC you will have a demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse financial statements and apply tax legislation and policies. As well as the following: Demonstrate proficiency in economic and financial analysis, as well as strong numeracy skills.A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business preferably ACA, CA membership or working towards getting one.Proven experience analysing accounting issues, understanding of application of Legislation and establishing solutions.Ability to prioritize, plan, and coordinate tasks, activities, and workloads effectively.Possess a keen attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal along with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels.Adapt easily to changes in the workplace, displaying agility and flexibility.This role requires you to be eligible to work in NZWorking at ACC | Mō ACC At ACC, we embrace the rich tapestry of Aotearoa New Zealand's cultures and are dedicated to providing equitable opportunities.
