Location: Tauranga (and surrounding Bay of Plenty as required)Employment type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (work is rostered Mon–Sun; start/finish times vary depending on jobs)
Pay rate: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour (depending on skills, reliability and performance)
About the role
We are a busy furniture moving and delivery business. We are looking for reliable Moving Helpers to assist our removalist team with day-to-day moving, loading, deliveries, and customer service.
Key tasks and responsibilities- Assist with loading and unloading furniture, household goods, and cartons safely and efficiently
- Pack, wrap, and protect items (using blankets, straps, shrink wrap, and packing materials) to prevent damage
- Help with moving items into and out of homes/offices, including stairs and tight access areas
- Support the driver/lead mover with job preparation, vehicle loading order, and safe unloading
- Help assemble/disassemble basic furniture where required (beds, tables, shelving)
- Follow Health & Safety instructions and safe manual handling techniques at all times
- Use moving equipment safely (trolleys, dollies, straps, ramps) and keep the truck/work areas tidy
- Provide polite, professional customer service on site and follow instructions from the supervisor
- Complete basic job paperwork/checklists as required (delivery notes, damage checks, time sheets)
- No work experience or qualifications required — full training will be provided
- Physically fit and able to lift/carry items as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Able to work rostered hours and weekends when required
- NZ or overseas diving License is advantageous
