Christchurch Hospital, Full time permanent role (40 hours per week)Mixed inpatient and outpatient medical respiratory opportunityStep into a dynamic Physiotherapy role where your respiratory expertise can truly make a differenceHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in theprinciples of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health systemthat serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are lookingfor a compassionate and motivated Physiotherapist to join the team on Ward A8,which provides acute care and early rehabilitation for patients with new strokeand a wide range of vascular conditions, including post-surgical vascularpatients and those with complex circulatory or limb'related presentations.In this role, you will play a key part in delivering early,evidence-based rehabilitation and mobility support, working closely with anexperienced multidisciplinary team.KeyResponsibilitiesComplete physiotherapy assessments and deliverearly rehabilitation for patients with new stroke Support mobility retraining and functionalrecoveryCollaborate with the MDT to support safe, timelydischarge planning Provide patient and whānau education to aidrecovery and promote self-management Participate in stroke and vascular care pathwaysand contribute to service developmentSupervise and mentor rotational physiotherapistsand final year physiotherapy studentsParticipate in peer review and supervisionstructureYou will be requiredto contribute to the weekend and on-call rosters.About the TeamThis role is part of the Christchurch Hospital Physiotherapyteam, with over 60 team members across a large range of specialities and morespecifically sits within the medicalspecialties and neurosciences cluster, a team ofapproximately 20 physiotherapists.
