Team Leader: Adolescent Mental Health & Addictions

About the Role

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Team Leader to join our Adolescent Mental Health and Addictions team in the Western Bay of Plenty.

In this full-time role you will ensuring the delivery of effective, timely and collaborative services to our community's youth with secondary mental health and addiction needs. This is a varied and busy role where you will have ample opportunities to grow and learn.

Key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Leading a team of health care and administration professionals - supporting a learning culture and continuous quality improvement
  • Co-ordinating the team to ensure that client needs are met in accordance with appropriate professional standards.
  • Supporting kaimahi to work collaboratively with other services and advocating for best outcomes.

About You

We are seeking a caring, empathetic and supportive individual who is passionate about service improvement and coordination.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • A high level of commitment to provision of quality services
  • Sound clinical judgement
  • Demonstrated leadership skill
  • An understanding of the current health system, priorities and environment
